No analytics, no cookies, no third parties. Not because the law demands it — because I think that's how a personal site should work.

What this site does not do

It sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, neither Google's nor a privacy-friendly one. It loads nothing from a third-party server — the typeface is embedded in the page itself rather than fetched from Google Fonts, which is the usual quiet leak on sites like this one. It builds no profile of you, and there is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing running.

You don't have to take my word for it. The footer of every page counts the third-party requests the browser actually made, live, and prints the number. It says 0. If it ever doesn't, something changed and you should ask me about it.

What the server records

My hosting provider, FiMA Informatik AG in Switzerland, keeps standard web server logs: IP address, time, the page requested, browser and operating system. That is how a web server works, and I cannot switch it off without switching off the site. These logs live in Switzerland, are used only to keep the site running and to find errors, and are not merged with anything else. I don't read them for fun.

If you write to me

Writing to txt@flaviomuff.ch means I have your message and your address, for as long as the conversation makes sense and a while after. I don't put it on a list, and there is no list.

The note form on the contact page opens your own mail programme with the text prefilled. Nothing is stored on this site in the process.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Data Protection Act you can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. One mail is enough. Given the above, the honest answer will usually be: whatever you sent me, and nothing else.
